Legal restrictions apart, it is a truism too say that man himself is the originator of his freedom as well as slavery, particularly in moral and spiritual spheres. The slavery of the mind and heart gives birth to fear and fear is the gateway to bondage.
But man by nature is timed because of his being helpless in the midst of light and shade of life in which his own personal choice is involved and restricted. Born with this millstone round his neck, he has to make the voyage unknown to seek his destiny which, to be worthy of the name, must abide in the realm of Liberty and, therefore, can be discovered only in the precincts of Liberty.
